How to play Lotto 5 Max
Tick the '5 Max' option when you buy a Lotto board (add-on, R2.50). Your six numbers are entered into the Lotto 5 Max draw as well as the main Lotto. A Bonus ball is also drawn for second-tier prizes.
Prize divisions and payouts
Prize tiers are pari-mutuel — the pool is split among winners in each tier. Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot. Since June 2026 jackpots are cascading, meaning the last draw of each calendar month is guaranteed to produce a top winner.
