Lotto Plus 1 is an opt-in add-on to the main SA Lotto draw. For an extra R2.50 per board, your six numbers are entered into a second draw with its own jackpot pool. It uses the same 1 to 52 number range as the main Lotto since June 2026.
About Lotto Plus 1
Lotto Plus launched in 2003 to give South African players a second chance at the same numbers. It split into Plus 1 and Plus 2 in 2017; when Sizekhaya took over on 1 June 2026, Plus 1 continued while Plus 2 was replaced by Lotto 5 Max.

How to play Lotto Plus 1
Tick the 'Plus 1' box when you buy a Lotto ticket. The same six numbers are entered for both draws; you cannot play Plus 1 without a main Lotto entry.
Prize divisions and payouts
Eight prize divisions identical in structure to SA Lotto, with its own jackpot pool. Lower-tier payouts are typically smaller than the main Lotto.
Strategy and responsible-play tips
Because the entry uses the same numbers as your main board, the marginal cost of Plus 1 is low relative to the additional jackpot exposure. Treat it as a small premium for a second shot.
