Your five main numbers are entered into a second draw with its own PowerBall pick and separate prize pool. It is drawn on the same Tuesday and Friday nights as the main PowerBall.

How to play PowerBall XTRA
Tick the 'XTRA' option when purchasing a PowerBall ticket (R5 add-on). Your same 5+1 numbers are entered into the XTRA draw; you cannot play XTRA alone.
Prize divisions and payouts
Its own prize pool with nine divisions matching the main PowerBall structure, and a cascading jackpot — the last draw of each calendar month is guaranteed to be won.
Strategy and responsible-play tips
If you already play PowerBall, the XTRA add-on is a cheap second independent jackpot exposure with no extra effort. The PowerBall range is 1-16 for both games since June 2026.
