Daily Lotto is South Africa's only nightly lottery — five numbers from 1 to 36, drawn every single day at 21:00 SAST. With a low R3 ticket price and pari-mutuel jackpots typically between R300 000 and R800 000, it's the most accessible National Lottery game.
About Daily Lotto
Launched in March 2019, Daily Lotto was designed as a low-stakes daily game to complement the twice-weekly Lotto and PowerBall draws. Its short pool (1-36) gives much shorter odds than the larger games. Its add-on, Daily Lotto Plus, was discontinued on 1 June 2026.
Schedule and broadcast times
Drawn every day at 21:00 SAST. Sales close on each evening.
How to play Daily Lotto
Pick five numbers from 1 to 36 for R3.00 per board. Quick Pick is available. There is no add-on game — Daily Lotto Plus was discontinued in June 2026.
Prize divisions and payouts
Four prize divisions, all pari-mutuel — meaning the prize pool is split equally between winners in each tier. Match all five for the jackpot; match two for the smallest cash prize. If no one matches all five, the jackpot rolls over to the next night.
Strategy and responsible-play tips
The shorter pool (1-36) means jackpot odds of roughly 1 in 376 992 — the best of any SA game. Pari-mutuel payouts mean popular number patterns (birthdays, sequences) dilute prizes; choosing higher numbers above 31 can statistically increase your share of any win.
